First Book-Tampa Bay was formed in 2007 to improve literacy among children from low-income families, and as a result, help grow their entire education. The majority of children from these families have no books at all in their homes or classrooms. Children from low-income families with no books enter school at a great disadvantage. Book Grant RecipientsWe are currently looking for Recipient Groups in the Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco county areas.
